Sachin..!!!!! :-)

Sachin is my favorite cricketer. And according to me he is and will always remain the greatest.Not just the greatest cricketer. Or the greatest sportsperson. But just simply the greatest. I don't go by statistics alone. Because if there is. one thing i firmly believe its tat stats or records alone don't make a great sportsperson. Its something  else. Its the X-Factor.

Sachin is hugely popular in India for a no of reasons. I think mainly bcos he came up at a time wen India was down. In the early ninties wen the euphoria of winnin the world cup was fadin away, wen Pakistan had won the cup, wen hockey was on the decline & wen we were not good in any other field of sport. Infact not jus sports there was nothin- no other modicum of entertainment where India was the best ie which put India on the World map.

Tats wen Sachin Came. He was India's very own golden boy. He was the best batsmen in the whole world.And he was Indian. He was the the hope and source of inspiration to millions of Indians. They wud have a thosuand and one worries but wen this lil guy hit a century they wud smile and forget al their worries.

From a personal persp, i switch off the tv if Sachin gets out.Even if India wins the match i wil not feel 100% happy unless Sachin has contributed to the win. But wen Sachin plays well and doesn India doesn win, tat really hurts cos den the critics come lashin at him. I guess tats the albatross around his neck. Many times i have been criticised for givin more imp to a individual dan the team.But honestly i dont care. For me the team is a team only if Sachin is there. ( i guess this wat is called blind fan devotion). Sometimes i feel an individual is ABOVE the team. And he is such an individual. Although team work matters , in the end, it is individuals who make a differnce.

I can never forget those two matches in Sharjah versus Australia. Tat was wathcin a genius at play.Sheer joy. With sand storm interfering in the middle.With the over cut short.It was like watchin a epic movie. It was also Sachins b'day.And tony greigs commentary jus addded to the excitement. Unforgettable moment !!!!

I feel tat India should have won the last world cup for Sachin's sake. Come on. Hez the best. Doesn he deserve to be in the World cup winning team?!. I hope India wins the next world cup.Its probably Sachin's last :-( :-(. So i really really hope we win..

All said and done, it really hurts wen Sachin gets out. its like he's betrayed us. Like yester. Or like whenever he gets out on the fringes of a century.Or like wen he gets out wen he's just taken a 100.

So, Sachin always keep playin man. Dont get out ever.Ur da best. The BEST ever.!!! :-)
